About the event
The November show is huge! Our headliner is none other than Chris Speyrer from Mason City Limits. He usually performs as a headliner back in Ohio so it is a treat to see him in Springfield. Featuring on this show is Zach Boblitt who is a Belly Laffs' favorite for his deadpan silly jokes.
Chris Speyrer had to overcome nervousness in order pursue his comedy career. “I used to pace for miles before every show, but I solved that problem. Now I just walk to the gig.”
Speyrer started comedy fresh out of college in January of 1989. Equipped with a BA in English, he thought the public speaking experience would enhance his resume. After a few months of open mics, Chris started getting paid for performing and the job search was going nowhere, the dye was cast to roam the nation with his unique humor. He has gone on…
